Description:
From either parking area, begin this network of well-marked, color-coded, easy-to-follow nature trails that wind along the Catawba River, Manchester Creek and surrounding wetland. As you pass beneath tall trees, including black walnut, shagbark hickory, and sycamore, you may see a variety of birds, snakes, and other wildlife. 

Boardwalk & Wetland Trail: from the handicap accessible parking area just before the bridge, follow the blue markers on the long boardwalk and descend the stairs to the dirt path loop through lowland woods.

Upland Trail: from the Boardwalk Trail, follow the green markers, on this short, hilly, out-and-back, dirt path that leads to a picnic area on Quality Circle.

River Trail: from the canoe launch parking, follow the purple markers on this level, easy-to-follow, recycled-tire surface and dirt path along the river.

Overlook trail: follow the yellow markers, on this rolling, dirt trail with a loop to an overlook of the water treatment plant.

Connector Trails: follow the red markers on these trails that link the Overlook trail with the River Trail and Boardwalk & Wetland Trail.

Air quality at the treatment plant area may vary according to heat and humidity.

Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.  Bikes are not permitted on the River Park trails, and skate boards and roller blades are not permitted on any city trail.

Length: 2.4 miles of mixed trails.

Fees: No fee.

Directions: In Rock Hill, from Exit 79 on I-77, drive 1 mile east on SC 122 and turn left on Red River Road (S-46-50). Drive 1 mile and turn right. Follow the gravel road to the park. Parking on the right before the bridge (notice the weight limit sign) or at the canoe launch near the river.

Hours: Dawn until 8 p.m. (during daylight savings time) or until 6 p.m. (during standard time).

Camping: No camping.
