Description: This series of easy multiuse
paved trials provides the feeling of walking in a wilderness, but is within the
neighborhoods of Harbison and Quail Valley. There are a number of loops
you can choose from, with varying distances from 0.6 mile to 2.0 miles
and by using spurs or connectors along with neighborhood streets you can
create your own. As you walk these well shaded trails, you will pass the
backyards of homes, encircle two small lakes, and pass through a
wilderness wildlife habitat. A variety of birds and animals live in this
area, especially near the lakes where you will see large numbers of
ducks and geese
No motorized vehicles are allowed.
Length: Approximately 12 .0 miles of
paved multiuse trails.
Fees: No fee.
Directions: To the Harbison
Recreation Center: From Exit 103 on I-26 (Harbison Blvd.) drive
northeast on Harbison Blvd. 0.5 mile and turn right onto Hillpine Rd.
The Recreation Center is approximately 0.1 mile on the left.
To the Carmike Cinemas parking area:
From Exit 103 on I-26 (Harbison Blvd) drive southwest on Harbison Blvd.
and turn right onto Columbia Drive. Turn left on Afton Ct., which is the
first left after the traffic light.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Camping: No camping.
