Welcome to South Carolina's State Trails Website. South Carolina offers hundreds of scenic trails. You can search for your favorite trail or activity by clicking on one of the following icons.
2006 About This Site The trail descriptions and maps listed in this website are based on questionnaires sent to trail "owners," research of trail publications, and input from trail users. In most cases the first sentence of each description gives a brief overview, such as difficulty, terrain, and trail surface, so you can decide if this is the trail for you. In many cases GPS data was used to create the maps, but due to weather, or changes by the trail “owner,” the map may not be a true representation. Since we are just an information source, we have to depend on “owner” input to make updates, changes, or announce trail closures. If you have a question regarding a particular trail, it is best to contact the source listed at the bottom of each description.
