Eastwalk I’On and Westwalk I'On
(Charleston County)

Description: Start either of these flat, easy walking loop trails at the grass triangle in the center of the square. You will wind through the new traditional style I’On Village community on a varied surface from mulch to sidewalks as you pass from neighborhood homes to open marsh areas where you can see nesting birds. Since these two trails intertwine you can walk loops of whatever distance you’re comfortable with.

Length: Eastwalk I'On 5.0 miles and the Westwalk I'On 3.8 miles.

Fees: No fee.

Directions: From Charleston, drive east to Mount Pleasant. Turn left onto Shellmore Blvd.. Pass through the traffic circle and continue to the square. Park behind the building at 10 Resolute Lane.

From the Mark Clark Expressway (I-526), drive west on Mathis Ferry Road. At the traffic circle turn right onto Shellmore Drive. Pass through the traffic circle and continue to the square. Park behind the building at 10 Resolute Lane.

Hours: Dawn to dusk

Camping: No camping.
