Description:
Starting from the Recreation Building, follow the yellow markers on
this easy walking loop trail. You will pass through a pine and
hardwood forest, you will catch glimpses of the lake through the
trees. Ducks and other water birds are often visible along the shore.
A number of footpaths crisscross the trail as you near the camping
area, so be sure to watch for the yellow markers to keep you on track.
In warmer months be sure to apply an insect repellant, especially one
that targets ticks. Pets are allowed on leashes. Water and restrooms
are available in the camping areas.

0.8-mile loop.
Directions:
From Exit 76 on I-26 at Newberry, drive west on SC 219. Turn left onto
US 76 /SC 34 and follow the signs for SC 34 (You will turn right in
less than a mile). After 3 miles, you will turn left and SC 34 will
join SC 121 for approximately 4.5 miles. Stay on SC 34 through
Silverstreet. Drive 15 miles and turn right onto SC 702, and the
entrance to Greenwood State Park Road is less than 2 miles on the
right. Enter the park road, pass through the gate, and follow the
circle to the left. Turn right at the sign for shelters #2&3. Stay
left at the fork, and turn left at the sign for camping area #1. The
Recreation Building is on the left.
