Description:
From the parking area, walk to the left gate at the paved road loop, pass the playground and picnic area, and look for the unmarked dirt path leading toward the small pond. You will walk toward the right, circle around the end of the pond, and walk a short distance on the far shore where the trail disappears into the tall grass and bushes. You may see turtles, snakes and a variety of other wildlife.

Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.

Length: 0.2 mile one-way.

Fees: No fee.

Directions: From downtown Laurens, drive east on Main Street (US 76). Just before the divided highway median begins, turn left onto Calvin Bridges Road (S-274). Drive 1.3 miles and turn right at the Laurens County Park entrance. Park near the picnic pavilion.

Hours: Dawn to dusk.

Camping: No camping.
