Description:
This moderately difficult hiking only loop trail begins just beyond the parking area at the gate. Walk on the old roadbed to the power line easement, where you will turn left, pass the first right turn, and proceed to the next ridge. The trail will turn right and you will continue down into a rocky wooded area. Continue to a bluff overlooking the Savannah River where in season you can view rare rocky shoals spider lilies. Also along the river you may see animals such as deer, fox, and raccoons. You will pass over the creek twice before you make the climb back to the power line easement and your car.
