Description: Starting from US 276
just west of Wildcat Falls, this easy out and back trail leads you
along the creeks that feed the falls. You will start by climbing some
steps past the top of the falls to a clearing where you will see
remnants of some structures built by the CCC. At the far edge of the
clearing you will cross a small bridge and come to a fork. If you go
right, you will follow the larger creek through a forest of oak and
hemlock to the turnaround where it falls over some large rock
outcroppings. If you go left at the fork, you will follow the smaller
creek to it’s beginning, then continue to a large area of exposed
rock partially carpeted by moss. A shallow cascade marks the
turnaround point.
Please take your trash with you, because
no containers or facilities are available on the trail.
