Description:
From the kiosk near the parking area, begin your hike or ride on the Sulphur Springs Trail. Once you reach the junction, this steep, easy-to-follow, mostly-straight, old road bed, treats you to some great scenic views of the surrounding mountains. . You will climb 400 feet in elevation as you pass through poplar, maple, oak, and pine woods intermingled with open areas grown up with wild berries and tall grasses.  At the top, bikers must return the way they came. You may see deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, and a variety of other wildlife.

If you are riding a mountain bike, be aware of signs reading "Foot Traffic Only." No mountain bikes on Saturday.  

Restrooms are available at the picnic shelters. Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.

Length: 0.4 mile. Connects to the Kanuga and Sulphur Springs trails.

Directions: From downtown Greenville, drive north on US 25/276 and turn right onto SC 253. At the traffic light bear left to continue on SC 253. Drive for 2.5 miles and turn left onto State Park Road (Greenville County S-23-344). The park entrance is on the left.
