North Lake
(Paris Mountain State Park)

Description:
You will need to walk or ride on the Kanuga or Pipsissewa trails to get to North Lake. Once you are there you can enjoy the view as you circle the lake and then return the way you came, or vary your walk or ride by returning on the other trail.  You may see deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, and a variety of other wildlife.

If you are riding a mountain bike, be aware of signs reading "Foot Traffic Only." No mountain bikes on Saturday.  

Restrooms are available at the picnic shelters. Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.

Length: 1.6 miles. Connects to the Kanuga and Pipsissewa trails.

Directions: From downtown Greenville, drive north on US 25/276 and turn right onto SC 253. At the traffic light bear left to continue on SC 253. Drive for 2.5 miles and turn left onto State Park Road (Greenville County S-23-344). The park entrance is on the left. Enter the park and drive approximately 2.5 miles to the loop near Buckhorn Gate and park on the left.
