Description:
Starting from the east trailhead you will walk or ride on paved sections bordering the golf course. As you reach and walk alongside the river, the surface is natural wood chip. Markers at tenths of a mile can be used to gauge your progress and benches along the river provide a place to rest, reflect, and listen to the birds. As you reach the west end, you can turn right and extend your walk or ride on the River Park trails, or continue up a fairly steep paved section to Quality Circle Road.

During your walk please observe the quiet area signs as you border the golf course. Insect repellent is recommended during the warmer months.

Length: 1.2 miles.

Fees: No fee.

Directions: To the east trailhead: From Exit 77 on I­77, drive east on Dave Lyle Boulevard for 1.4 miles and turn left onto Waterford Park Drive. Drive 0.6 mile and turn right onto Overview Drive, go to the end and turn right onto Clubhouse Road. The parking area and trailhead are on the left.

To the west trailhead: From Exit 77 on I­77, drive east on Dave Lyle Boulevard for 0.9 mile and turn left onto Red River Road. Drive 0.8 mile and turn right onto Quality Circle Road (gravel) Drive 0.3 mile to the utility building and the trail starts downhill on the right.

Hours: Dawn to dusk

Camping: No camping.
