Trail Map

Description:
At the kiosk in the parking area, you will begin this .5 mile, hiking
only trail to a bluff overlooking the remnants of Battery Warren, a
Civil War earthen fort built to block Union Forces from moving up the
Santee River. As you walk on this mostly level, sandy trail, you will
pass through a mixed forest and tall grass. Watch for birds, deer,
snakes, and other wildlife. Wear insect repellent during warm weather,
and avoid the trail during wet periods. This trail is in an isolated
area, so remember to bring water, first aid supplies, and be aware of
big game season. Digging is prohibited.
