Description:
From the kiosk at the parking area, begin this short, paved, loop
interpretive trail that winds past scenic gardens, gurgling creeks,
and quiet ponds close to downtown Spartanburg. The observation deck
(in the woods along the paved path), the gazebo (by the flowerbeds
near the parking lot), and the stone amphitheater (in the woods and
across the pond from the observation deck) are the most popular spots.
As you walk amid tall oaks,
magnolias, cypress, and pine trees, you may see a variety of birds and
other wildlife. If you want to extend your walk and see more of the
preserve, you can continue on a series of wood chip trails.
