Description: You can start this flat paved
multi-use trail from one of three community plazas, on East Henry St
near Ricky’s Drive-In, Forest Ave., and at Country Club Rd. You can
enjoy walking, riding, or skating on this smooth mainly tree lined
railtotrail built on what was once a section the Norfolk Southern rail
line. This is the first section of what will become the 12-mile Hub City
Connector of the Palmetto Trail, which will pass through Spartanburg.
Length: 1.9 miles.
Fees: No fee.
Directions: From Exit 21 on I-26 in
Spartanburg, drive east on E. O. Ezell Blvd. (US 29) to North Church St.
(US 221, SC 56, SC 9). Turn right onto North Church St. and then left
onto East Henry St. The trail begins at the junction of East Henry St.
and Union St.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Camping: No camping.
