Description
: From the main campground area you can explore four sandy, gently rolling, double-track loops and numerous single-track spur trails through 2,600 private acres of hardwood troughs, pine woods, and wetland depressions known as Carolina Bays. You will ride beneath the shade of cypress, hickory, magnolia, and a variety of oak trees. In the peaceful quiet of this natural area, watch for deer, rabbits, armadillos, alligators, snakes and other wildlife. Remember to pick up a trail map before you begin. Insect repellent is recommended in warm weather. Pets are not allowed on the trail, but kennel facilities are available at the camping area. Water, and restrooms are located in the climate-controlled facilities. A fishing pond is located on the plantation, and the nearby Savannah river is accessible from Cohen’s Bluff boat landing

Length: Black Trail 6.4 miles, Red Trail 4.9 miles, Blue Trail 5.6 miles, Green Trail 7.2 miles, Purple Trail 4.7 miles, and Orange Trail 5.4 miles.

Fees: $10/day per rider (includes access to climate-controlled facilities). Special moonlight and other guided rides are also available

Directions: From Allendale, drive south on US 301 to the intersection with SC-3 (River Road). Turn left and drive south on SC-3 for approximately 6 miles. Turn left onto S-3­22 (Red Bluff Road) and drive 2.5 miles. Turn right onto S­3-60 (Cedar Knoll Road) and drive 1.5 miles. The entrance sign for Lakeview Plantation is on the left

Hours: Reservations are required

Camping: $20/night per person (includes hookups, and climate-controlled facilities). Check for family rates and other discounts. Private rooms and bunks are also available
