(Goodale State Park)

Description: Begin this, easy walking, 1.7-mile loop at the
trailhead to the left of the playground area. Follow the
trail signs on a sandy path through a forest of pine, oak, and
rhododendron. Watch for a variety of wildlife, including wood ducks,
blue herons, turtles, snakes, and possibly an alligator.
Restrooms and water are located at the park office
area. Pets are permitted on leashes.
Insect repellent is recommended during warm weather.
Length: 1.7-mile loop.
Directions:
From Camden Drive northeast on
US Highway 1 and turn right onto Old Stagecoach Rd., (Kershaw County
S-28-15)Drive 2.4 miles and turn left onto Park Rd. (S-28-331).
The park entrance is 0.3 mile on the right.
Follow the park
drive .5 mile to the trailhead (just past the recreation building on
the left).
Camping: No camping.
