Description:
This short easy walking trail connects the Hospital Rock Trail to a
jeep road called the CCC Road. The CCC Road, which begins in Camp
Greenville, was named after the Civilian Conservation Corps. By hiking
the CCC Road, Cleveland Connector, and Hospital Rock Trails, you can
hike from Camp Greenville to Jones Gap State Park or vise versa. In
dry weather it is possible to drive on the CCC Road to the Cleveland
Connector.
Length:
0.5 mile. From Camp
Greenville to Jones Gap State Park is 4.1 miles.
Directions:
To Jones Gap State Park: From Greenville, drive northwest on US 276 to
the junction of US 276 and SC 11. Continue approximately 1.5 miles and
turn right onto River Falls Road (Greenville County S-23-97), which
changes to Jones Gap Road, and continue to Jones Gap State Park.
To
Camp Greenville: From Caesar’s Head State Park drive northwest on US
276 to the North Carolina border. Just before the state line turn
right onto Solomon Jones Road. Drive 4.5 miles to the yellow gateposts
for Symmes Chapel. The CCC Road begins to the left just before the
gateposts.

Trailside
primitive camping is allowed on certain trails. Contact Caesars Head
or Jones Gap State Parks for details.
