Coldspring Connector (#7)

Description: In either direction this short strenuous connector trail between the Coldspring Branch and Frank Coggins Trails requires a lot of climbing, but stairs and switchbacks help relieve the strain. Look at the map and you’ll see the Coldspring Connector Trail provides connections for a number of possible loops from Caesars Head State Park or the Raven Cliff Falls parking area.

Length: 0.5 mile.

Directions: From Caesars Head State Park, cross US 276 and hike north for .5 mile on the Frank Coggins Trail, or drive 1 mile west of Caesars Head to the Raven Cliff Falls parking area and hike east for 1.6 miles on the Coldspring Branch Trail.

Camping: Trailside primitive camping is allowed on certain trails. Contact Caesars Head or Jones Gap State Parks for details.
