Description: From the parking area, begin this multi-use, rutted, rolling, easy to follow, out-and-back trail that parallels the park road. As you walk through a forest of mixed pines and hardwoods, you may see a variety of wildlife including birds, deer, squirrels, and snakes.

Restrooms are available in the parking area near the equine supply store. Insect repellent is recommended during warm weather.  Pets are permitted on leashes.

This is a former Army training facility. Visitors are asked to stay on trails and in recreation areas. Do not disturb unfamiliar objects.

Length: 1.0 mile.

Directions: From Spartanburg drive 3 miles south on SC 56 and turn left onto Dairy Ridge Road (S-42­321). Drive 0.3 miles and turn right onto Croft State Park Road (S-42­394). Drive to the parking area just past the office. Walk a short distance back on the paved park road. The Horace Craig Trail is on the left just past the camping area.
