Description: From the parking area, cross the road to begin this easy-walking, paved loop trail around an open field surrounded by woods. In this quiet, peaceful setting you may see a variety of birds and other wildlife.

Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.

Length: 0.4 mile.

Fees: No fee.

Directions: From Walhalla, drive northwest on SC 28. At the fork with SC 107 stay on SC 28 and turn onto the first road on the left (Verner Mill Road). The Mountain Rest Community Club is on the right. Park in the lot.

Hours: Dawn to dusk.

Camping: No camping.
