Description:
From the parking area, begin this short, level, gravel and dirt,
walking-only loop trail that circles an open field where tall grass,
scrub oak, and pine provide a natural habitat for a variety of birds and
other wildlife. Interpretive signs identify insects, animals, and
plants.
Insect repellent is recommended in warm
weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.

0.2 mile.

No fee.
Directions:
From downtown Seneca, drive west on SC 28 and turn right onto Keowee
School Road (SC 188). Drive approximately 6 miles and the school is on
the left. The trailhead is to the right of the bus drive.
Hours:
Dawn to dusk.
Camping:
No camping.
