Mountain
Bike Trail
Croft
State Natural Area
(Spartanburg
County)
Trail Map

Description:
Starting from the parking area this somewhat challenging trail has
something for just about everyone. There is enough climbing, fast down
hills, and hard packed sections, which allow fairly high speeds to
satisfy the intermediates and experts, but may be too much for
beginners. Several connector trails provide variation and new
challenges, especially the Idaho pass, which is more technical. You
will ride alongside and cross some scenic creeks, and through forested
areas, which provide shade from the summer sun. Watch out for wildlife
in this area, especially turkey and deer.
Be aware that after a rain
there can be some mud and slippery sections.
Insect repellent is recommended during warm months.
NOTE: This trail may be closed on low use days for hunting
during the months of September, October, and November. Check with the
park before going.
Length:
Approximately 10.5 miles
(Main trail and connectors).
