
Description: Starting from Fred L. Day Landing you will go south and
follow the shoreline of Lake Moultrie for about a mile to the entrance
of Duck Pond. Connected to Duck pond is a smaller pond more like a
cypress swamp and home for an abundance of birds, especially wading
birds. Alligators may also be seen throughout this area.
Length: 4.2 miles.
Fees: No fee.

L. Day Landing From Moncks Corner, drive west on SC 6 for
approximately 12.8 miles and turn right onto Berkeley County S8802.
Continue to the landing.

Entrance to second part (Going counterclockwise).

Hours: Dawn to dusk
Camping: About midway between the
landing and Duck Pond is a clearing where you can stop for lunch or
primitive camping.
