Description:
This section of the Little Pee Dee River is an easy float and appropriate for beginners. This part of the river takes on a swamp like appearance and has many twists and turns. You will also encounter many side channels and oxbows, so stay in the main channel. An abundance of wildlife can be seen from the river and you most likely may see beavers and deer, and birds such as wood ducks, pileated woodpeckers, and prothonotary warblers. More experienced paddlers may want to continue on the Great Pee Dee to the US 701 Bridge.
