Description: From Angels Landing you will basically follow the north
shoreline of Lake Moultrie. You will circle a series of islands and pass
a number of bays and coves you can explore to add to your experience.
Just past halfway you will enter the Russellville Flats area where there
are numerous shallow bays to explore, where in season you will be
treated to several types of flowering water lilies. This heavily
forested area is home to many species of birds and animals including
alligators. For the fisherman, this is one of the best areas for
bluegill and a world record 5 pound 7.5 ounce red eared sunfish (shell
cracker) was caught here.
Length: Approximately 10.4 miles.

Mile 0 (GPS N 33.3798 W 80.0907)
Angels Landing Drive east from Eutawville or west from Moncks
Corner on SC6. Turn (north) onto SC 45, cross the Diversion Canal, and
turn right onto Viper Road (Berkeley County S8708). Drive
approximately 2.3 miles, turn right onto Angels Cove Lane, and continue
to the landing.

Pass by the old Santee Canal on the left.

Pass by a cove on the left.

Camping area on the left.
Mile 6.3 (GPS N 33.3834 W 80.0540)
Loop around a large and small island then turn toward the shoreline
entering the Russellville Flats area.
Mile 9.0 (GPS N 33.3989 W 80.0144)
Pass by a group of islands on the left.
Mile 9.8 (GPS N 33.3982 W 80.0008)
Pass by a cove on the left and cross over to the landing at the
entrance to the canal.
Mile 10.4 (GPS N 33.4005 W 80.9916)
Henderson G. Guerry Landing From Moncks Corner, drive north on US
52/17A and stay on US 52 toward St. Stephen. Drive approximately 12.0
miles and turn left onto Old Mill Road (Berkeley County S8965). At
Russellville turn right then left onto Russell Store Road (S8204) and
continue to the landing.
Hours: Dawn to dusk
Camping: Approximately halfway is
a camping area.
