Water
Trail
Upper Wadboo Creek
(Berkeley County)
Trail Map

Description: After a portage of approximately 300 yards on the
Palmetto Trail, put in on the south side of the Henry Brown Bridge
and paddle south. Since there are so many possible ways you might
go, such as old rice field canals, Santee Cooper has placed small
diamond shaped signs to help keep you on course. At approximately
halfway, there is a cleared area for primitive camping and the creek
opens a bit for easier paddling. Limestone bluffs along the banks
are a sign that you are almost to the Rembert C. Dennis Landing.
You may see an abundance of birds,
especially wading birds, ducks, osprey, and turkey. Small alligators and
white tailed deer may also be encountered throughout this area.
Be aware that when the water is low, you may have to do some portage.
Length: Approximately 5.0 miles of
trail.
Fees: No fee.
