Summary:

Vereen Memorial Gardens has been a bit of a "Hidden Jewel" for 30 years. The park features numerous hiking trails and wooden boardwalks that extend across several beautiful salt marshes and small islands, with a nice gazebo that overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway.

Loading Trails

Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens in Little River has been a “Hidden Jewel” for 30 years, but that is changing! Vereen Gardens and the C. B. Berry Community and Historical Center are becoming more popular and known every day. Programs and activities are increasing every season. More and more folks are coming to the Gardens to enjoy the views, trails, wildlife, history and more.

Hours: Dawn to dusk

Bikes are allowed on trails, but bicycles are prohibited from use on all boardwalks. Skateboards and motorized vehicles are prohibited from use on all trails.

Directions:

Located at the intersection of US #17 and SC #179, just south of the NC state line.
