Loading Trails

Bundrick Island isn't really an island, but this peninsula on Lake Murray has several dirt roads and hiking trails, plus a sandy beach area for swimmers. This recreation area is a popular place for boaters, as well as nature lovers. You can delve into the peninsula, explore the shoreline here and get some great lake views.

Note: There is no parking available on Brady Porth Road, so this recreation area is not accessible by car. You can only get there by boat or by bicycle.

Directions:

From Lexington: Take US-378 West and turn right onto St. Peters Road, then turn left onto Old Cherokee Road. After traveling about 1.5 miles, turn right onto Brady Porth Road and Bundrick Island as located at the north end of the road, northwest of the Town of Lexington.
