Summary:

The upper section of Kanuga between Brissy Ridge and Fire Tower connector is either an easy climb or a super fun ride with nice flow depending on your direction. The downhill section going to the lake is a bit more intense however. You can really pick up speed and obstacles pop up fast some times.

Loading Trails

To reach this trail you will need to walk or ride a section of the Sulphur Springs, Fire Tower or Brissy Ridge Trails. Connections to the Fire Tower, Brissy Ridge, and North Lake Trails provide opportunities to vary the length of your walk or ride.  You may see deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, and a variety of other wildlife.

If you are riding a mountain bike, be aware of signs reading "Foot Traffic Only." No mountain bikes on Saturday.

Restrooms are available at the picnic shelters. Insect repellant is recommended in warm weather. Pets are permitted on a leash.

Directions:

From Downtown Greenville: Drive north on US 25/276 and turn right onto SC 253. At the traffic light bear left to continue on SC 253. Drive for 2.5 miles and turn left onto State Park Road (Greenville County S-23-344). The park entrance is on the left. Enter the park and drive approximately 2.5 miles to the loop near Buckhorn Gate and park on the left.
