Summary:
Croft State Park has a diverse and fascinating history that makes it a must visit destination in upstate South Carolina. The park also has excellent equestrian facilities.
Croft offers many loop trails, from moderate to strenuous. Please note, it is recommended your horses be shod, but it is not required. A Coggins test is required. The 2.4-mile Lake Johnson Loop is considered moderate. This is a quiet loop trail through varying hardwood and wildlife habitats. It passes through large stands of pine, beech, and oak, crosses a seasonal stream and gives a great taste of all that the park has to offer.
