Starting from any of three parking areas, Beauty Spot Road, Country Club Road, or the picnic area, this easy walking loop trail encircles Lake Wallace. The western half of the trail was paved in 2021, and follows the diversion dam between Country Club and Beauty Spot Roads, and offers outstanding views of the lake on either side. The eastern half is more of a nature trail that follows the east shoreline of the lake and passes an abandoned clay pit and a picnic area.

The Lake Wallace Walking Trail could be walked/biked as an out-and-back, 1.3-mile trail. Trail users also have the option to continue on to the nature trail portion of Lake Wallace Walking Trail. Biking is permitted on all parts of the Lake Wallace trail system.

Hours: Dawn to dusk

Directions:

From downtown Bennettsville: Drive north on SC 385 and the lake is on the left—you can park on Country Club or Beauty Spot Roads, or at the picnic area.
