Summary:

This is the largest of three loop trails in the Manchester Forest and basically follows the perimeter of the area bordered by SC 261 and Sumter County Roads S-43-51 and S-43-808.

Loading Trails

This is the largest of three loop trails in the Manchester Forest and basically follows the perimeter of the area bordered by SC 261 and Sumter County Roads S-43-51 and S-43-808. You will be guided by arrows, which indicate turns and direction of travel. You will wind through a mixture of forest, open area, and some wetland on a trail surface that is a mixture of dirt and sand. Although this area is basically a lowland area, there are enough small hills to make your ride exciting. Be aware if this trail is overused, it  may be closed to allow for recovery. Also, during wet weather there may soft spots and standing water, which may require the trail to be closed for maintenance and repairs, so please wait for drier conditions to avoid damage.

Directions:

From Columbia: Drive east or Sumter drive west on US 378. At SC 261 (Stoplight) drive south for 8.8 miles and bear right on Sumter County S-43-51 (toward Rimini). The entrance to the parking is approximately .6 mile on the left.
