Summary:
This resurfaced and stroller-friendly trail circles the park’s 30-acre lake. Hikers, bikers and joggers will enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sandhills as they venture into the forest and through wetlands on boardwalks.
You will start this fairly easy walking loop trail from the sand parking area near the boat house and circle the lake. A number of boardwalks cross the wet areas, which are home for a variety of birds. From the bridge over Jackson Creek you will see a waterfall and a connection to the Jackson Creek Nature Trail. In the spring and early summer months you will be treated to the beauty of wild flowers and the cinnamon scent of sweet pepperbush (June is best).
Important Notice! Dog must be present for photo identification to obtain dog park permit.
Insect repellent is recommended during the warm months.

Great place to hike with kids. Very easy 2 miles around the lake. Playgrounds, splash pad and snack shack make this park great for a family day outside.
