Loading Trails

Starting at Gahagan Road or the parking area on Luden Drive, you can walk or ride this flat 10 ­foot wide out and back paved trail within the Town of Summerville. You will follow the Sawmill Branch Canal and through a wooded area in the southern part of the city.

Hours: Dawn to dusk

Directions:

To Gahagan Road: From Exit 199 on I-26, drive west on US 17A into Summerville. Turn left onto Gahagan Road (S-18-199) and cross the canal.

To Luden Drive parking area: From Exit 199 on I-26, drive west on US 17A into Summerville. Turn left onto Luden Drive (S­18­706). Drive to the canal and there is a 6­car parking area adjacent to the trail.

To Crosscreek Drive: From Exit 199 on I-26, drive west on US 17A into Summerville. Turn left onto E. Carolina Ave. then left onto Old Trolley Rd. Drive approximately 3.0 miles and turn right onto Cross Creek Drive.
