From the parking lot, begin this short, level, paved loop around the perimeter of a neighborhood recreation area. You will pass ball fields, corn fields, a playground, picnic tables, and benches. A short spur, near the basketball court, leads to a grassy park area by the pond.

Restrooms, located near the pavilion, may be locked. Watch for snakes, birds, turtles, and other wildlife. Remember to wear insect repellant in warm weather. Leashed pets are permitted.

Directions:

In Florence, at the intersection with Lucas Street (US 52), drive north on Irby Street. Continue past North Vista School and turn right onto East Shenandoah Lane. Follow Shenandoah Lane to the parking area.
