Summary:

North Charleston Wannamaker County Park is a nature-oriented park designed for family and group use. It offers over 1,015 acres of beautiful woodlands and wetlands, and provides guests with a variety of activities. Miles of paved trails allow for exploration of the area’s beautiful natural resources

Loading Trails

Begin this level, paved, biking and walking loop trail at the park center. You will circle a lagoon where you may see alligators, turtles, snakes, and other wildlife. Three unmarked spur trails also provide opportunities to explore the area. Follow the signs back to the center for a shorter trip, or complete the longer loop through shady woods of pine, sweet gum, and oak. Benches along the trail provide a place to stop, rest, or just enjoy the surroundings. Pets are permitted on leashes. Restrooms, water and bicycle rentals are available at the center.

Directions:

From I-26: Exit 205 drive east on US-78. The Wannamaker County Park entrance is 1 mile on the left. Park near the park center and the trailhead is left of the water sprinkler.
