From the parking area, begin this occasionally steep, multiple-loop trail through mixed woodland, and open fields. You will follow a dirt path, a sandy roadbed (watch for sink holes), and gravel-surfaced slopes as you explore the forest demonstration and habitat renewal sites. Interpretive signs mark the Tenant Farm site, Erosion Gullies, Rock Crossing, and other historical and natural land features. You will see a variety of birds, deer, turtles, snakes, and possibly a wild turkey. 

Be aware of the trail markers, which define the main trail from looping and connecting roadbeds and foots paths. Remember to wear insect repellant in warm weather. Restrooms are available at the museum where you can enjoy the natural history exhibits, and life-like automaton presentations about hunting, wild turkey restocking, and habitat restoration

Note: There are no fees for the trail, however there is an admission fee for the museum for non-members.

From Edgefield, drive south on US 25. The Wild Turkey Center is about 2 miles on the right. The trail kiosk and map are located on the sidewalk near the Fellowship Center (picnic shelter). The trail begins at the white-lined space in the parking area.
