The Outdoor Learning Lab at Batesburg-Leesville High School features an easy-to-follow nature trail that follows Gin Branch Creek—a small rippling stream with large rocks located on the far side of the path. This trail is unknown to most and absolutely worth the short hike for trail enthusiasts.

The ACE Basin Greenway is a nature path along SC Hwy 303 that follows an old Atlantic Coast Railroad bed and runs underneath a beautiful piney wood canopy — excellent for exercise!

The Town of Brunson offers a newly constructed walking trail, as well as a restroom facility and shaded playground area. 

Wonders’ Way is the 2.7-mile bike/pedestrian path on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, where you can enjoy views spanning from Folly Beach to the Isle of Palms. The 12’ wide path is named Wonders’ Way in memory of Garrett Wonders, a man who died in a bicycle-vehicle collision.

The SC 170 path offers stellar views while also providing safety for walkers and cyclists in Beaufort County. This trail is a part of the East Coast Greenway trail system.

Daufuskie Islanders worked for years to create Frances Jones Community Park, which features the Daufuskie Island Trail, a restroom facility and pavilion. The park is a place for locals and visitors alike to recreate while enjoying the splendor and natural beauty of Daufuskie Island.
