The Grand Park Athletic Complex features seven large multipurpose fields and two youth fields.  All have synthetic grass and lights and are designed to accommodate a variety of sports, including baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer and football. Memorial Park is a four-acre tract of land in the Congaree Vista between Main Street and the river. The property is bordered by Hampton, Gadsden, Washington and Wayne Streets and is one block south of Finlay Park. This park was created to serve as a memorial to those who served their country. There is a creek running through the park with a small bridge over it and lots of birds for the kids to chase, as well as walking paths.

Many of the trees in the park were cultivated from trees which witnessed historic events in the founding of our country. Each tree has its own story to tell.

An easy walk or ride through a maritime forest and marshland in well-protected preserve. The preserve has a 4,000 year old Indian shell ring, a wild flower meadow with dozens of flower varieties, fresh water lakes suitable for fishing, and a bountiful bird habitant. Shade is plentiful during the summer months. Restrooms, drinking water, and a picnic area are available in the center of the preserve at Fish Island.
