The Eagle Trail is a paved, level multi-use trail with a loop around Winthrop Coliseum. The trail also connects with the Cherry Park Trail at the corner of Caswell Street near Sullivan Middle School.

The Eagle Point (or Museum) Trail is short and sweet—it originates at the picnic area, travels behind the museum and ends at a bluff that looks out over the Catawba River.

Located between River Drive and North Main Street, Earlewood Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in the city—the centerpiece of the Earlewood neighborhood. There is an easy-walking, packed sand, loop trail—that circles an open grassy area and borders a creek on the south side, a disc golf course, as well as a dog park.

Earls Ford is a nice .3-mile, hiking-only trail where you descend through a mixed hardwood and pine forest in the quiet, fresh mountain air.

The East Fork Trail has two trailheads: one at the Chattooga Picnic Area adjacent to the Walhalla Fish Hatchery and one at Burrells Ford. Starting at the picnic area, East Fork Trail is an easy 2.5-mile hike along the north bank of the scenic, fast-moving east fork of the Chattooga River.

Eastatoe Passage provides public access for hiking, fishing, and birdwatching in the picturesque natural wonderland of the Eastatoe Creek watershed upstream from Duke Energy’s Lake Keowee. The area is part of the Jocassee Gorges Wilderness Area, which National Geographic described as a “destination of a lifetime.”

Starting from Pitch Landing, you will paddle downstream on Echaw Creek to the Santee River. You may see evidence of abandoned rice fields and a variety of fauna such as wild turkeys, owls, bobcats, or deer as you pass through magnificent oak hickory stands and cypress tupelo swamps.
