Cross Harris Street and follow the rolling, occasionally-steep, paved, out-and-back hiking trail that winds through upland habitat of hardwood trees draped with ivy and kudzu. You can also hike a short, level, concrete loop past a playground, basketball court, ball field, and picnic pavilion.

Harrison-Caver Park was aquired by Aiken County during fiscal year 1990. The park is situated on approximately 38 acres.

The Harry J. Vann Trail is a one-mile interpretive loop trail that connects to the Palmetto Trail. This trail is open to the public and meanders through the black water flood plain of Colonels Creek and upland pine forest.

Hartwell Lake is one of the southeast’s largest and most popular public recreation lakes. The lake is created by Hartwell Dam located on the Savannah River seven miles below the point at which the Tugaloo and Seneca Rivers join to form the Savannah.

Henderson Heritage Preserve consists of unmarked firebreak trails that loop through a quiet and natural preserve protected by the Department of Natural Resources. The rare plant species bog spice bush Lindera subcoriacea, is the preserve's rarest element and a hiking trail will guide the visitor through much of this habitat.

Herdklotz Park was once the home to the Hopewell Sanitarium, a nationally recognized hospital for patients with tuberculosis. Remains from the root cellar were saved during park construction. The park offers athletic fields, a walking track, a playground and picnic shelters.

This 2.7-mile paved walking/biking trail begins in downtown Greenwood on Main Street and ends near Florida Avenue. The trail winds through beautiful shaded areas and parts of the medical community.
