SC Trails

This park in Florence is located on 55 acres between Edisto Drive and DeBerry Boulevard, features nature trails, playgrounds, a picnic area and picnic shelter.

This 19-mile loop trail traverses a wide array of habitat types, from mature longleaf pine stands to bottomland hardwood drains, and offers captivating scenery to visitors. Horseback riders and mountain bikers may glimpse prothonotary warblers darting among the trees.

The Jew’s Harp Spring was used to provide water for Orange Hall, a nearby plantation, in the 1800s. Scattered bricks are the only remains of the house. The name of the spring is derived from its shape–that of a Jew’s harp. It was carved from a solid piece of granite by J. E. Sherman in the 1860s.

Joanna Park is operated by Laurens County and offers a paved walking path, as well as a playground, ball field, basketball court and picnic shelter.

This City of Gaffney Park offers a walking path, benches and bench swings to enjoy the beautiful landscape this park provides.

The Joe R. Adair Outdoor Education Center is a special place in Laurens County—complete with a restored 1800’s log cabin, man-made waterfall and bird sanctuary, hiking trails, a Native American village, butterfly garden, a handicapped accessible garden and a state-of-the-art education building. The Adair Center is a wonderland of learning for children and adults alike.

The outside amenities the John Ford Community Center has to offer include a football field, walking track, and playground area with exercise equipment.

Trail users will ascend gently from the Pinnacle Pass Trail—on the John Sloan Trail—before the pink-blazed trail ends at the Rim of the Gap Trail.

Jones Gap Falls is a pretty waterfall on a tributary to Middle Saluda River in Greenville County. The waterfall is located in Jones Gap State Park, part of the Middle Bridge Wilderness area.

The Jones Gap Trail is a moderately difficult trail that delves into some of the Upstate’s most scenic country.

Aiken State Park is as rich in its history as it is natural beauty. The Jungle Nature Trail is a 3-mile boardwalk and dirt turf loop through wetlands, mixed pine and hardwood forest.

Take a stroll and enjoy this trail network which will take you through 30 acres of beautiful gardens, pine and oak uplands, and flood plain forest.

This park is located in the City of Aiken and provides visitors with a playground area, tennis courts, a basketball court, a picnic shelter and a paved walking path.

The upper section of Kanuga between Brissy Ridge and Fire Tower connector is either an easy climb or a super fun ride with nice flow depending on your direction. The downhill section going to the lake is a bit more intense however. You can really pick up speed and obstacles pop up fast some times.

This park is located in Laurens County and offers the public a boat ramp, as well as a picnic shelter, playground and nice walking trail.

The paved trail surrounds four baseball fields and is approximately 1/2 mile in length. There is also a custom playground system and restrooms located at this complex.

Keowee Elementary School, located in the City of Seneca, provides a scenic walking trail that circles a multi-purpose field.

The 1/4-mile Kerrigan Trail—located on Huntington Beach State Park—and numerous boardwalks extend out into the saltmarsh and freshwater lagoon for exceptional wildlife viewing.

The Kershaw County West Complex, located in Lugoff, offers a fully ADA-compatible community playground, as well as picnic shelters, restrooms and a paved walking path.
