The Saluda Scenic River (commonly known as the "Lower Saluda") is recognized as an outstanding recreational resource. The tailrace waters from Lake Murray reservoir provide a cold water fishery and varying river flows for recreational boating. Popular activities on the Lower Saluda include fishing for trout and striped bass, whitewater and flat-water paddling and tube floating.

The lower section of the Wadboo Creek extends from the Rembert C. Dennis Landing on Highway 402 to the Tailrace Canal.

The Lower Falls is located about a half-mile down the Whitewater River from the Upper Falls (which is in North Carolina). The Lower Falls is a dramatic 200-foot drop, which can best be viewed from an observation platform at the end of a 1.9-mile trail.

The Town of Lyman's Rail Trail stretches for almost a half-mile from Lawrence Street to Spartanburg Road, and connects to the Town's amphitheater.

At Lynch's Woods Park, a 4.2-mile gravel road circles through the woodlands, offering access to 7.5 miles of hiking and biking trails. There are also equestrian trails available at this park. A three-mile section of the cross-state Palmetto Trail also runs through the Piedmont park and connects to six miles of equestrian paths.
