SC Trails

The Town of Lyman's Rail Trail stretches for almost a half-mile from Lawrence Street to Spartanburg Road, and connects to the Town's amphitheater.

At Lynch's Woods Park, a 4.2-mile gravel road circles through the woodlands, offering access to 7.5 miles of hiking and biking trails. There are also equestrian trails available at this park. A three-mile section of the cross-state Palmetto Trail also runs through the Piedmont park and connects to six miles of equestrian paths.

Located on Lynches River in the Pee Dee region, this 676-acre park features a river swamp with towering cypress trees, as well as sand hills, offering a wide variety of vegetation. Popular activities include river fishing, canoeing, nature trails and picnicking.

The Lynches River passes through a varied landscape of pine uplands, farms, rural crossroads, and deep swamp forest.

Lynch’s Woods Park is a well-kept secret tucked behind a strip of businesses off Hwy 76 on the south side of the charming city of Newberry. Created by the 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps, the park protects 276 acres of woodlands full of old-growth hardwoods and the rambling Rock Branch Creek and tributaries.

On this Hunting Island trail, you are sure to see plenty of beautiful magnolia trees along the way.

Manchester Meadows can be enjoyed year-round and provides athletic programs for both youth and adults. This park has paved and lighted trails, and a wetlands trail. There is a 1.1-mile outer loop with additional connecting trails throughout the park.

Boasting three easy-to-moderate loop trails, the Manchester State Forest is among the most popular outdoor getaways in the Midlands. The Manchester Horse, Governor’s Ride, and Red Horse trails with connectors combine to provide 20 miles of riding pleasure.
