One of the peninsula's most visited parks, Waterfront Park opened in 1990 and offers fantastic views of the Charleston Harbor. Gardens, fountains, walking paths and plenty of park benches are availble on the property.

Starting from Dirt Landing, paddle north in the waterway. At approximately 1.4 miles you can turn right and go out onto Lake Moultrie or continue to the turnaround at 2.0 miles.

The natural surface walking track, located in Wedgefield, is open daily from dawn to dusk. 3.5 laps is equal to one mile.

Wescott Park is the Lowcountry’s premier baseball and softball facility—featuring a Ripken Training Facility. Wescott Park was meticulously designed and built state of the art for the best experience for players and spectators. The park also provides a network of walking paths, as well as a dog park.

The West Ashley Greenway is a rail trail in Charleston, South Carolina. It stretches across the West Ashley neighborhood from Main Road in the west to Folly Road in the east.

West Ashley Park is one of the largest—and diverse—parks located in Charleston. It is well maintained and offers a variety of sports facilities, as well as some nature trails and boardwalks through the surrounding wooded wetlands.

Located on the corner of Grove Street and West Cambridge Avenue, West Cambridge Park is an eleven-acre passive park that occupies an abandoned railroad switching yard. The site offers a playground area, gazebo, restrooms and walking trails.

This loop trail provides great views of Cedar Creek where otters and wading birds are regularly observed. The eastern portion of this trail follows a cypress-tupelo slough (dried up river bed) where many cypress knees can be seen sticking up out of the water.
