Open year round at no charge to its visitors, Burrells Ford is a nice choice for camping along the Chattooga River. This is a short hike that takes campers from the parking area to the campground.

This park is a go-to place to enjoy a fun place to play for many Greenville residents. Amenities at this park include a nice playground area, tennis courts, scenic walking trails, athletic fields, as well as a covered shelter area with restrooms.

Byerly Park is the most heavily-utilized recreation facility in the City of Hartsville. For those who want to get some fresh air and exercise, there is a 1.2 mile lighted walking and jogging path, as well as the Born Learning Trail, a play feature for young children which gives them a chance to have fun while improving language and literacy skills.

With the ocean in the background, you can workout on 11 fitness stations in Myrtle Beach on the Cabana Fitness Trail.

CADA Park is located in Chesnee and offers a nice and quiet place to enjoy a picnic, as well as a lighted walking path.

Caesar's Head State Park, located in Greenville County, provides stellar views of the impressive Blue Ridge Escarpment on the Overlook Trail.

The Cambridge Gateway Trail is located in Greenwood and is designed for use by pedestrians and bicycles. The trail meanders past oak trees and through a bower of crape myrtles.

Edisto State Park includes a dense maritime forest and an expansive salt marsh where visitors can explore the wonders of nature. For overnight guests, the park offers vacation cabins and a campground.

The Canal Trail includes interpretive signs and carries hikers for 1½-miles (one-way) along the historic tow path of the canal which includes the foundations of an early 1800 mill site. This trail connects to a half-mile Landsford Canal State Park Nature Trail.
